We provide highly tailored support and operate on a case by case basis, with assigned account handlers. Where a request is received for payment of arrears from the registered provider, we provide the shared owners with 14 days written notice. The registered provider needs to provide the request for payment on letterheaded paper (by email or post) accompanied by a rent statement, dating back to when the account was last up to date. We encourage a joint, tailored approach and can alter mortgage arrangements to help resolve rent arrears where suitable. We notify registered providers if the shared owner has missed two or more monthly mortgage payments, but we may be in contact sooner. We encourage registered providers to contact us as soon as possible if early signs of financial difficulty have been recognised.
